So I bought a nice 2.5lb live rock from Tampa Bay Saltwater.

They said it comes with a Cup Coral, and it looks awesome and is doing its thing, problem is, I look on the interwebs and don't see anything that people call cup corals that look like this.

Thoughts?

My best guess is cladocora, but I’m not sure. Us hobbyists usually don’t know much about Atlantic stony corals, as they are not imported.

I asked a coral taxonomist and he said it‘s a phyllangia.
Yaaaasss
...that's it! Thank you so much!

It is related to the Caryophylliidae family. Very cool coral indeed, but not much known about it, as it is a type of Cup Coral from the Atlantic Ocean.

It says it's a Hidden Cup Coral!

Thank you so much @encrustingacro
