Bought this sps coral I think. Guy at the LFS didnt know what it was. Just wondering if someone could ID it for me.

pictures under white light would help. all i see is blue with some faint colors likely from being new to this tank :)

how new is the tank? what lights? water parameters?

Ik this coral looks a little on the bad side atm but it is my 5th sps dk what it is but when im home from work I will get you a picture in white light.

Wild! I didn't realize that.. but it's a branching sps, is it that hard to keep under control? It's not like an encrusting Monti, which can become a real problem imo. I do still love them tho lol

I’ve read that they can do polyp bailout or produce asexually, and other corals can do polyp bailout also. pocillopora apparently has a very high chance of surviving and colonizing again though. The way i was reading on how people control it is they either glue or epoxy over the new colonies that form.

I got some more picture of the digis i have now, and tried to get some close ups of the polyps. I know youve helped me in the past and seem to know a lot. Just trying to be sure its not pocillopora. Hoping its either stylo or digi thought.

Looks awesome, your nem doesn’t sting it? Kinda worried nout my nems theyve been moving quite a bit recently.
Nem did not go near it and all nems moved
