hi does anyone know what coral this is ??

It's not fully open, if you can please post a picture with the polyp fully open.

Some sort of paly would be my guess (assuming button polyps are palythoas?)...

I actually got a tank from one of my friends for free and he doesn’t even know what they are and they’ve been like this since I’ve had them

They do appear to be Palythoa grandis, although very stressed. Definitely a Palythoa or Protopalythoa.

Ha I do know, thank you, I just hadn't seen that. It's my field as well, and I'm also a professional aquarist.
