Coral in resin...

Purely out of curiosity...If you would put a piece of live coral in epoxy resin, would it keep its color?

Like in a solid block? The tissue would die which is what produces the color. You would have a dead brown coral encased in epoxy.

yeah in a block, I didn't know if the coral being sealed in would prevent color loss.

you could take a dead piece of stony coral, paint it, & put that into a resin block.
