Coral inhabit another coral skeleton???

As the title, would another coral inhabit/grow over another dead skeleton?
I think it would be pretty cool to see encrusting coral to take new shape over another skeleton such as acro or scoly skeleton

If original Skeleton died, I doubt another would grow over, even algae will struggle to grow on a dead coral unless its fully decomposed
