Coral or pest?

This popped up randomly in my tank about a month ago. When it’s touched , it closes up, but it doesn’t shrivel down into the rock. It looks similar to a nuclear polyp I had about 3 years ago that was eaten. I’ve never seen green aiptasia.

Palythoa of that style are usually invasive,filled with toxins and can cause you some harm if you get the slime or toxins in an open wound.

I think @RVA REEF is meaning its both a coral and a pest, those palythoa can grow like crazy
