Do you guys think I need more space in between my candy cane and hairy mushroom coral frag?

It should be fine for now. In the future as they grow you may need to move them.

Mushrooms are lower light coral than LPS. Depending on the brightness or PAR of your light, you may consider moving the mushroom lower, saving closer to the light space for more light demanding corals. Good luck with your build!
