So i ordered 7 corals a few nems and a cleaner shrimp from aqua sd on October 11th they finally shipped them yesterday December 9th, ups was delayed (second time ive had a delay while ordering from them, obviously not their fault on that but ive never had delays while ordering from anyone else). 2 month wait just to have everything i ordered potentially not make it and be out all that money... Hopefully some survive, but we'll see tomorrow when they get here, hopefully.

This season has wild cold weather added to the huge amount of holiday freight traffic that has to navigate through the additional traffic on the highway as we venture out to enjoy (?) family meals with all the extended family, cousins and strangers who are standing in line for dinner at the rescue mission where we hope to get some stuffing and breast meat instead of a drumstick and stale roll and margarine and canned green beans.

As my head spins into my pillow later on in the night I will “Petition the Lord with prayer,” asking that He will watch over your shipment so that it may arrive safely at your delivery point and be alive and healthy and not departed like Jim Morrison on his last day in France.

Keep this thread up dated with your findings as the shipment turns.

This is the best response I've ever read! Definitely helps to get a laugh, thank you. I'll definitely update when they get here.

Well i had 3 packages I sent out this month delayed.they were all high end Acropora corsls. Either is because of the plane grounding due to snow and bad weather or just UPS marking it out for delivery just to no deliver it corals.

I know it is very frustrating so maybe holding off until the holiday pass is a smart move.
Good luck with your shipment

I did order them October 11th, i wasn't expecting them to wait 2 months before sending them. Not much i can do now but wait. Hopefully all your acropora made it. It's a gut wrenching feeling when that delayed shipment happens.

If they arrive intact acclimate them to tank temp slowly(corals) in their bags. Dont rush it. If the shrimp somehow survives get it out of the bag as fast as possible into clean water and acclimate from there. When you open the sealed bags and expose to air you can get a severe ammonia spike. So best to get them into clean water for acclimation.
