Hey All and happy Easter, I have been limping back into the hobby since September 2018 collecting frags and colonies after selling my 320 Gallon the previous February. I had one foot out of the hobby when my girlfriend and children encouraged me to come back int0 as they said that I seemed happier to be in the hobby. Many of you may know me by the 320 Gallon SPS Reef that I ran between 2011 and 2017 found here https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/320-gallon-sps-build.82879/ and here https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/tdbs-320-sps-rebuild.186665/
I struck a deal with @Acrononomus to purchase his 560 Miracles set-up found here https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/my-560-gallon-acro-oasis.197422/. I want to give credit to Nick for building an amazing system, unfortunately, he just never had time to finish the project. I have decided to commit to finishing what he started. This community is very strong in knowledge and provided indirect and direct knowledge to be successful with the 320 gallon and look forward to also sharing back what I will learn with this build.
Tank details,
.75" Starphire Glass
120" X 36" X 30" Tall
External built on overflow.
Initial design details,
Plumb tank into existing 500 Gallon coral farm, Upgrade current pump to an Abyzz 400 to power both farm and 560 Gallon. Get a steel stand manufactured that I plan to use acrylic sheet and magnets to skin. Build floating canopy also out of same acrylic. Build light with LEDs COBS and T5. Flow will be provided by Panta Rhei pumps.
The reef will be an Acropora tank and instead of having a jam packed tank like in the past, this time, I would like to have a few select massive colonies displaying their natural form. One piece that will be the center piece is my Signature, The CoralFragZ Nemesis Tenuis.
Excited to start this journey one last time with you all. It is going to take time receive it all and will be building it up over the summer and hoping by September/October of 2019 it will be up and running.
