Coraline dust buildup?

For several months I've had Coraline buildup in my reef tank, but this morning I noticed pink Coraline dust dispersed prominentlythroughout the center of my rock work, which has not been so prominent before at all. i just do not know what this means.

Is it actually "dust" ? Can you blow it off of the rocks with a turkey baster?

oh great question, I tried now it actually is not dust. Since you're post, I tried to disburse it, but it does not move with a baster.

Coralline Algae does come in different colors, I don't know if that's what you're dealing with but if that's the case - very cool.
