Are we sure this is 12 years looks more like 12 weeks. Unless you scrubbed off all of the rocks with a brush can’t see how this is possible.
Nope. I don't use live rocks that's why. U can see a ugly green algae too. I recently hv done a 50% water change coz of ammonia. U can see detritus also in below pics. I hv hydroids, sponges, more coralline, bristle worms and sphogetti worms, vermetid snails. I am just worried about loosing a coralline algae in one place. Also how can I remove that ugly white colour it is leaving. U can see more pics in my threats. I just keep my mirror and back black background clean coz it gets green algae and brown detritus

I hv seen your post in which u hv said that u clean the tank once in every year. That's why it is looking young. Also u hv said that u suffer a itch outbreak in which u shifted your fishes. So that's can be the issue. U should add calcium for coralline algae. Detritus is a major sign of old tank and lack of flow and u hv that much detritus so can be an old tank

Hmm can be. I'll avoid to clean my rocks now. My lfs said that I should clean rocks once a year. I'll not do that again.

Update- I hv placed a rock on it and coralline algae is looking good now
I’m a little perplexed at the above statement. Coralline algae typically doesn’t grow that fast, at least not on my tank. My humble recommendation is to take your time and get the basics down. That is, start with getting your parameters in check, adequate flow and good husbandry. Don’t worry about growing coralline algae — they are the net effect of a healthy tank.

Hmm I think mine is young for now and needs time to mature before coming into direct light. I am going to buy calcium today
