I’m sorry that you have to answer questions from both of us! I’m trying to systematically work out what the problem may be, so just bare with me!

Do you have a lot of coralline algae growing in the tank yet?

Also no worries at all, I really appreciate the help a lot

I apologize for trying to work through the problem and trying to help.

@Nate5154 I do believe your issue has to do with a parameter swing due to the nano size of the tank. The additional testing will be key.
Okay sounds good i appreciate the help, I’ll definitly try to be more consistent on when i change my carbon and testing and water changes

The only other thought is adding volume, like a sump, but that will be dependent on your setup.

I’m moving to a new place in a few days so while i’m at it i decided to get a new tank, one of the innovative marine 15 gallons, im just worried that the filtration won’t be good or as good as my current canister. I’ve definitly thought about a sump in the past and would love to I just don’t really know how with the tank i’m getting.

I have a hello reef 15 ( same as the im15) with the aio in the back. I've had no issues with it and filtration. I ran a skimmer for a bit but took that back out. Just filter sock, heaters in the center, and return pump on the end.

Can i ask why you took the skimmer out?
