Corals got cold!

Edit: When I wrote this post I didn’t realize the vendor might be deduced from the photo. This vendor has been AMAZING and so responsive via email to work this out and replace the corals. So if you do figure it out, there is no shame on them. 15F overnight and a late fedex truck are to blame if anything. The corals were very well packaged with insulation and heat packs.

Should I even bother putting these acros in my tank? 51.9F. It was extremely cold in the midwest last night and today, so I really can’t blame anyone. I’m just not gonna waste time with dipping and transfer if they are definitely beyond saving.

It was very well packaged and had heat packs. Fedex was supposed to deliver by 10am and didn’t show up until close to 5pm. It was like 15F the night it shipped.

I’m not blaming the vendor on this one. Just an unfortunate situation and they have been extremely responsive via email to get them replaced.

Yeah tuff time for shipments and 15 is cold! Think it was around 30 overnight when I got My delivery and it arrived by 11.

Good luck with everything always sucks losing some nice acros!

Yeah, it definitely sucks to lose coral this way. Honestly, it hurts every time.

the window between black Friday and Christmas is without a doubt the worst time of the year to ship coral.

between colder temperatures, extremely high volumes and long exposure times, it’s tough. Delays are inevitable and expected.



Which is why next year I will be pushing all of my shipments from any sales during Black Friday till after Christmas. I keep saying I’m gonna do this. but next year I’m doing it for sure.

The good news is for @Formulator is that it’s not his loss I promise. It’s mine. I will replace anything and everything, as I always do when this happens.

Just not till after Christmas. I’ve got you covered my man. I promise. same goes for everyone else who lost frags this week in shipping.

Dude, no problem at all. I have no problem if people see that it. It’s reality and happens

Overall, this week went better than expected, barring a handful of snags, including a big 40 piece box that got delayed an extra day that was a total loss but relatively speaking I can’t complain, especially compared to the FedEx days when it was basically like 20 boxes all stuck lol and they all die!

lI keep saying this every year, but next year I’m just not gonna ship after black Friday. better safe than sorry. Sometimes I feel funny asking people to wait though.
