I have been working on this for awhile and the LFS and I cannot figure this out. The heads are popping off these corals. ALK is a little on the high side at 12.0 but that is the only thing that is not normal. All of the other corals are growing and look great. Any thoughts?

What about other variables like feeding and flow? That looks like frog spawn. And they don't appear to be in much flow? Hard to tell maybe from the pics. They like a moderate flow. In my experience more than a hammer but less than a torch.

It's called Polyp bail out and is a last-ditch effort by the coral to move from waters that are not good for it (too much/too little flow or light, bad parameters, contaminants in the water.)

Please post all of your parameters that you can test for and make sure your refractometer is properly calibrated. My guess would be that these are the only LPS corals in the tank?

doing a 50% water change now to lower nitrates since this is likely the cause- thoughts?

A few things jump out.

Alk of seawater is closer to 7-8
Nitrate is really high
Salinity is a couple points low

Might try running son PolyFilter in the tank. You may have some metals your not aware of. It won't hurt as a safety precaution while you try other things.
