Hi all, I've just stuck GSP on the back of my tank glass and I'm sticking a green plating montipora tomorrow. Who else has done this even with other corals?

I had GSP covering the entire back of my aquarium, until it overgrew itself on the top and started to fold over. I got mad at it and ripped it all off the wall.

I have many encrusters and a palawensis on my back wall.

I'm a neat freak and I do love my spotless black wall as I'm running a redsea 260 max E with sump. I like the look of corals on the back wall but not coraline so it will be interesting to see if I keep the GSP there or not.

I just tried this for the first time myself. I got tired of my coraline overflow being an eyesore and bulging out and not knowing what to do with it, so I got some leptos and glued the plugs on. I figure it will take a year before it’s covered really well. I might get some others and randomly place them and see what grows faster and what happens when they eventually meet up

I wonder if anyone's done it with some strange coral choices?

I like the back being clean but like to see people doing different things in their tanks

I have GSP and an acro colony growing on the back wall. The acro has a nice base but is growing outward rather than covering the back. I also have orange and green monticap growing on the back. I didn't place the monti on the back they are just getting so big they grow where ever they find room.

That coral looks lovely. My tanks been running 4 months now so not alot in it yet. I have 2 clowns, regal and salfin. I done a 2 month cycle with lights on for 1 month so not really had an ugly stage at all so I added papaya coral frag, GSP frag stuck on back glass and ive just stuck my green plating monti on back glass see how that goes. I also have a rose bubble tip anemone doing well. Just a slow game at the moment with adding things so everything stays happy.

Thanks. Everything is coming out of that tank to move to a new one. While I look forward to having the new tank running I'm not looking forward to moving everything. It's probably going to end up being a giant frag fest.

I have GSP, monties and chalices growing on the back wall. I think that it is a great place for encrusting corals and a natural way to go when running out of space on the rock work.
