CORALS PURPLE

I have a question. most of my corals have died because of other issues currently rebuilding. but when they were good and everything was running smooth most of my sps seemed to turn a dark purple. I wasnt adding any trace elements using brs 2 part and doing water changes with io. just wondering if anyone else has this
