Has anyone ever used these corrugated sheets as a lid? My fear is it'll defuse the light too much.

(Obvious I'd use clear)

I use the clear on my sumps to reduce salt creep, for that the material is ideal. My guess is once you get some water on the underside and a bit of salt then it will reduce light penetration by 50%. Also consider that when you clean it water gets inside the channels only to further reduce light.....

Personally I can't see it being effective as a tank cover.

Standard acrylic warps and bows over time as the side exposed to the more humid underside absorbs some water. How does this stuff fare? How long have you used it over your sump?

Mine are in place for 2yrs now and no issues with warping, perhaps a 1-2mm deviation but only in areas that are very narrow where I cut to shape around the skimmer. Mine are actually polycarbonate (PC) but look as per the OP image.

@Ridgeway thanks for this info. Though I have no immediate need this I'm sure it will come in handy in the future.

As to the op. They are going to block light and gas exchange
