Hey so I recently got this torch coral and I was looking at it and it kinda looked like I could see through it? Doesn’t that mean it’s not doing so well? But it looks like it’s growing really fast. When I got it it was only about an inch wide like a week ago now it’s almost 2 inches. Basically just asking if anyone knows if it’s doing ok.

It looks happy and healthy. Polyps extended. I have a frogspawn that also looks almost clear sometimes when it is extended out all the way.

sometimes LPS specifically torch, hammer, frogspawn, swell their tentacles then turn transparent. Could be a sign of bleaching, I have read that transparent tentacles can happen due to low nutrient levels. it could also need more or less lighting which would help it color up. it looks pretty healthy IMO.

Salinity- 1.023
Dkh- 12
Calcium- 400
Magnesium-1250
Phosphate- 0.50
Nitrate- 10 ppm
Salinity is low would raise to 1.025-1.026, ALK is high i would stop dosing and let it drop to the 8-9 range, calcium is fine its a tad low but will do. Calcium is recommended 420-460, Magnesium is low I would raise to 1350-1400, phosphate is definitely to high, lower that with GFO, such as rowa phos or phosguard. aim for 0.03-0.08. Nitrate is good 10-20 is a good level to shoot for.
