Could frag stands be a source of phosphates?

I've read that some people have issues with phosphates when using eggcrate, but I haven't heard of any issues with the acrylic frag racks... I've got a frag tank with eggcrate and had a little bit of algae at first, but it's pretty much gone now that I've added a little gfo. I've never tested for phosphates though, so I couldn't tell you just how much I had/have or if that was even the issue...

Ok cool. I was really wondering about the little 'concrete' ones I buy frags on. Also...are you USCG? I'm ex CG.

The concrete ones may need to be cured for a little bit, but seem to be fine as long as you're not adding a bunch at a once. The ceramic plugs and tiles are ready to go with no issues at all.

Prior USCG. Got out in Jan 09. Dallas 716 , Gallatin 721, Kodiak Island 1341, and MSU Savannah
