I have a 40 breeder, mixed reef, but predominate sps. I have had a rainbow montipora and a green mili for about 2 months and its become brown. From my reading on this forum the usual things that cause browning in sps is lack of light or really high nutrients. I only have a aquatic life 4 bulb t5 fixture ati bulbs and I knew that could be not enough light for some sps.
These are the 2 corals.

With xmas being around the corner wanted to see what the consensus was, if I should get a more powerful light fixture, or would maybe just adding like a reef brite led strip could possible solve my issue. Thanks!

In my opinion they haven’t been in there long enough to color up. Some more light probably would not hurt . How many hours are you running your lights ?

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
