I white spot on his Fin may be the beginnings of Maring Ich but your video is inconclusive. Can you post some more picks and a video under White Light?

These fish are and can be difficult long term and are prone to ich but this may be a sand grain
Ich will increase in numbers each day
Check again tomorrow to see if this is the case

I can’t see much, the video is too blue. I agree it is breathing pretty fast. Does the tank have good aeration, not just circulation?

Cowfish are prone to a number of issues not seen in other fish. How long have you had this fish?

Well, the cowfish is breathing too fast. There are three common reasons for this: water quality issues, a widespread external disease issue, or some internal issue. I assume that since the other fish in the tank are doing well, that you can rule out water quality and a widespread external gill disease issue. That leaves some internal issue. Unfortunately, cowfish are prone to these issues, and those don't really have any easily identifiable cause, so I'm sorry, I don't have a treatment to offer you.....

Looking at video, I dont see anything on body that alarms me but the breathing rate is of concern and honestly, the are fish that should not be sold in the hobby due to high mortality rates, shutting down from feeding and skin issues. You can try adding ruby rally pro which is safe with coral and inverts in case there is a bacterial issue and yet safe to use with coral and inverts

My clown was also breathing hard a few days ago but my parameters were fine so I just waited it out and he seems better now. Maybe just wait a few days if he doesn’t look too bad.

Hi so I put him in my qt tank I just bought and he breathing normal now after a day or 2. The old tank is bigger but do u think it a old tank syndrome? Now I notice some fish also breathing hard in the old one

Ah! That is a different matter - with multiple fish now showing symptoms, it could be a low pH and/or low dissolved oxygen.

Does the tank have good aeration, not just circulation? If not, you should add an air stone.

After aeration, if the pH is still below 7.8 or so, you’ll need to buffer the water.

I doesn't have a pH testing kit but last time I did at the store it say 7.4-78+ not sure specific. I have a Nero 3 as a wave maker. However I haven't give it a good cleaning for a while and the sand a bit dirty. But ever since I move them into a new bought aquarium with 2 power hose the cowfish stop breathing as hard. The old aquarium the pump doesn't work as much because I'm sure it getting old so I'm thinking about replacing the pump aswell

I would do a good water change and add an air stone. If breathing heavy, gill flukes may be a suspect cause

Some day they show breathing issue another day it gone

That can be low dissolved oxygen - timing changes things; during the day, algae takes in carbon dioxide and gives off oxygen. At night, that process reverses. So - fish may breath fast earlier in the day and then do better in the afternoon.

I think you should get a pH meter and an air pump with an air stone.
