Lastly I don't have an anemone do they get on ok without atm he is hiding in some dark hole. What and how do you feed them? Do they have any issues with hermits like Halloween and electric blue etc?

Can you get any more pictures? It is hard to give a conclusive ID from this picture.

+1 to the above:

Some crab ID advice: take a pic of the front like you did (mainly to show the claws - good job there - but also a little to show the face), and also take a pic of the back of the crab (take the pic from above the crab looking straight down at it - this shows the shell and back of the crab, which can both be important for ID too).

some top-down photos of the crab's back (including some that show the portion of the shell by the crab's back legs) may be helpful with ID

I see these red claw crabs sold at LFS’s. They are really brackish crabs. Now comparing I don’t think you have a red claw crab. I thought it might be because of the body shape.

They have these on reefs4less the orange one looks similar to yours based on pattern on back. Although it doesn't give much species Id.

They're uca species. (fiddlers)

They're semi-terrestrial and need to come up for air. Never really seen them do well in aquariums because no one really does half-land half-saltwater tanks. They burrow in mud too so its not like just leaving the water line lower than the height of your rock long term keeps them either.

There's a blue version that's commonly sold as well. Idk how they could be miss-id as anemone crabs when they're completely different environments even collected from.

if it's a fiddler crab it would have 1 big claw doesnt it? so would be easy to id it if I can see its claws?

with uca only the males have that large claw and they frequently are sold missing them due to fighting. This one would be yours:

Yep, female red fiddler.
yep that's what I thought as soon as I saw the front and underneath I knew it. I don't get why are they selling so many fiddlers for marine tanks when they are brackish and not suitable for a normal tank as require dry area. I've noticed there was some blue colour version of fiddler that alot were buying as well.

It's frustrating as well when I didn't even order this crab and there's no way you can mix up a fiddler with an anemone crab so don't know why that was done. now I'm stuck with it and not sure what to do as I can't give it the conditions it needs or a dry area etc. so I assume is it just going to die after a while?

Do you have a sump? It may be easier to create a little land in there.
As for being sent the wrong crab then you need to speak to the seller and show them their mistake. I'd be surprised if you didn't get a refund or at least another crab.
