Cracked acrylic overflow base

New to acrylic. Hoping it’s not a loss. 300 gallon tank. Had a center over flow with 5 holes. Overflow tower snappedy off revealing multiple cracks coming from the holes. Only thought is to dremel what’s left of the overflow. Sand it down evenly with the bottom of the tank and weld on a sheet covering the damage. (Not going to utilize this overflow in the future.) pics attached for reference. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not familiar with acrylic, but I thought it could be welded.
