Hello from Yorkshire in the UK.
My new tank is arriving in a weeks time so I've decided to start this build thread on reef2reef as I believe I may get a different perspective on things and it's a place I can learn and share as this tank develops
There's still much to do and so many things I'm yet to fully decide on but I will be using this thread to keep track of the development.
Going to be a long and slow going process but I hope start off with a good base this time around in the hope that it will remove the avoidable reshuffling further down the line.
Equipment list:
1.
Display: 60" x 36" x 28" High
12mm 2-sided optiwhite glass with double base
Black back & left side
Elite weir external overflow
Eurobraced
2. Sump: 48"x 26" x 17" 8mm glass
3. Cabinet: 60" x 36" x 36" High Anthracite cabinet
4. Lights: Under consideration (amongst many) are the 8 x 80w Giesemann Matrixx-II Dimtec T5 or 2 x Philips coral care.
5. Skimmer: Reef Octopus Regal 200-S
6. Return pump: To be confirmed.
7. Wavemaker: Maxspect Gyre XF23 with advanced controller plus additional ones to be decided.
8. Controller: ??
9. Dosing Unit: Kore 5th
10. ATO: Pacific Sun Sentry
11. Media: Siporax
12. Scape: Real Reef or Marco Rocks, yet to be decided
13. Reactor: Debating over the large reef octopus and the ultra reef.
