No, Not my tank. Don't be ridiculous I have a Undergravel filter, that can't crash.

My "car" was in a crash.

I was stopped for a light having a philosophical conversation with my wife about the universe, the meaning of life, or what we were having for dinner when all of a sudden:

CRASH!!.

Glass breaking, my teeth flying across the broken windshield, my contact lenses bouncing on the road, birds flying away in a panic, squirrels screaming etc. OMG what a scene.

Of course none of that happened. But it felt like it did. My teeth are firmly fixed in my head and I don't wear contact lenses. The windshield didn't break and the birds were just pooping as they normally do.

But the accident did happen. We were hit from the back by a SUV. I wasn't in my SUV but in my very Manly (Chick Magnet) PT Cruiser. (Although I also have a SUV.)

After checking on my wife, I ran out to see what happened.

The door opened on the SUV and I expected to see this dopey kid get out with his cell phone that he was texting on, but he didn't get out. A very pretty girl gets out and being I am very observant, I noticed that she was about 9 months pregnant.

OMG, I am so glad her air bag didn't deploy, because I am sure "almost born" Babies hate that. I made sure she was OK and I noticed she had another little kid in the back. She immediately apologized and said she thought the cars next to her were moving so she thought I was too. I didn't understand that, but it is what it is. Maybe it's a pregnant thing. So, being in the technological age, we took pictures of each other's license's.

She was going to her baby doctor so that was a good thing as we were practically in her doctor's parking lot. I am sure the doctor will check her and her baby out.

My car will go into the body shop this week. I wanted to change that back bumper anyway because it was scratched. Now it is history. So it all ended well.

I know that secretly a lot of people were hoping it was my tank that crashed so they could say. Oh look at the old guy who thinks his fish are bulletproof after only a few decades. I really think she found out I wrote a book and she was looking for an autographed copy.

Glad all is well for both you and your wife and the pregnant mom.

I have never doubted your tank will crash ;)

I'm glad you are all safe!

Everyone is safe including my tank and her baby. (Thank God) The poor kid was in an accident even before he was born. My Cruiser is hurt. I love my Cruiser, but soon he will be good as new.
This happened to me once before in this car, but that time it "was" a stupid kid who was texting. The back of my car keeps getting newer so it is OK.

Dude, that not a good day for the Cruiser.
Glad all involved are okay at this point.
Btw I guess some of us like to know what you and your wife did decide to have for dinner?

Glad to hear you all came out well. I just had to bury a family member last month due to a collision. Talk about a life changing experience in a blink of an eye

Chimmike, I think it should be illegal to walk down the street texting or sit in a restaurant texting, it looks so stupid. I don't think we need to know what everyone is doing 24 hours a day. It was so much easier before cell phones, computers and color TV. If you go to Manhattan, where I have to go all the time to see my Grand Kids, almost no one is looking where they are going because they are so important that they have to let every one know that they are walking across the street.
Years ago, All we had to do was go out and shoot a moose occasionally for dinner and we were good. When it got dark, we went to sleep. When we wanted a fish tank, we filled it up with tap water, added some fiberglass floss to the filter, turned on the incandescent 60 watt bulb, threw in some guppies and had a beer.

Diesel, we had some shrimp and rice that my wife made in like a gumbo type stuff. But this weekend I made some dynamite stuffed calamari with hot cherry peppers that I put in a blender with garlic and oil to make my sauce.
We basically live on seafood. I have never ordered a steak in a restaurant in my life and we eat out a lot. Here on Long Island we are surrounded by the sea and I grew up in a sea food market. Yesterday we bought 30 blue claw crabs for the pasta sauce on Thanksgiving. I normally catch them but this year I only caught 6. You can't do anything with 6 crabs.
Beaslbob, I am thinking of getting a Model A Ford, but I need another garage for it. A friend of mine has 5 of them and wants to sell some.
Reefloco, I am sorry. That is a horrible thing. I have been in a few car accidents (and 2 helicopter crashes) and so far, never got hurt. This one was just a simple fender bender.

Well, that's good to hear sometimes after a crash you don't feel like it to eat, I guess it has all to do cause nowa days you don't know if you could get suit even it wasn't your fault other than driving a Cruiser, lol.
I got suit once cause my boat trailer was parked in a parking lot at the beach without the boat on it as we were going after some reds and kings, he couldn't see it the trailer he said as there were maybe 151 trailer on the lot, lol.
When my attorney ask him if we can see his cell phone records 15 min before and 15 min after the time of accident he came to say the Brady trick that he lost his phone, all good but what about your records of that month........... lost too??
The idiot probably was talking or texting one of these famous Supermodels.
All came good as he or his insurance had to pay for a new aluminum trailer.

That's cool. 3 boats ago I used to trailer my boat. One day I was coming home with the boat and all of a sudden, the car stopped dead and I saw this wheel with part of an axel sticking out go flying past me. Yep, my axel broke right off.
I ran a few blocks home and got my hydraulic jack with the wheels on it. I jacked up the broken axel and my wife drove very slow as I steered the jack all the way home. I built a new axel out of 3" steel pipe and I filled it up with 90 weight oil just to make sure it didn't rot out from the inside. Thank God my boat is bigger now so I can leave it in the marina.

FTAWG, the tank is fine. But I do have some Leeks on the front glass.
