Craziest Torch I’ve ever seen

Happy Friday reefers! I recently saw this coral online and it’s one of the most beautiful Torches I’ve ever seen. It’s called a Blue Tip Banana Torch. I’m more into SPS and constantly checking out SPS corals more than anything online but needless to say, I was blown away when I saw this coral. So much so, that I wouldn’t mind getting one one day for my SPS dominated tank. Anyone have pics, or better yet, videos, of this guy in their system? TIA

anyway the color also depend on each batch

It’s my favorite coral in my tank. I grew this from 1 head, about 2” into a 5 head beast. The tips don’t photograph perfectly but I am standing in front of it and it looks like the one you found online

I am amazed at how many shades of “banana” are available among the Banana torches. I may have to get one eventually but the crazy prices have always stopped me because if I am going to buy one I need to be sure I get the Banana-ist bright one that I can find. The ones at the store have been under blasting blue light and I tell myself to pass until I find one for sale under full spectrum lighting.

They are nice for certain!

yeah the price was crazy in the past
but now in Thailand , the price is more affordable than before
latest batch it's around 3500 - 5000 THB ( 100 - 150 USD ) per head

I love the Banana. I definitely want to add one however I will not buy it online, in person only. I have purchased torches online only to be disappointed with the color compared to the photo. I do have to admit it is very tempting to buy one online, they are really hard to find locally.

My nano is in a decline and going through a reboot. I proactively rehomed my blue tip banana to my main tank. It has flesh band recession but it’s caught in time and should recover in here. Only been in here for a few hours, and needed a trunk cleaning (algae removal) so it’s a little upset and still acclimating to the new lighting and flow

I agree! I don’t own any from him but I definitely agree Coral Kai has the sickest banana torch varieties

Rainbow Goni 1 and 2 will be great one day! They are incredible at 1” and I can’t wait for them to be colony sized
