Is this kind of growth normal for micromussa lords?
You can’t see them all but I’m seeing a total of 9 heads growing on this bad boy.
My other lords have 1 or 2 new heads since getting them.
Anyone else ever see this kind of growth on an acan before?

On the topic of growth, how do candy cane corals spread? Do they split heads or do they grow new ones? I have a two headed frag that has a head that has been getting…longer? It kinda reminds me of a cell splitting.

Yes it will split the heads and eventually stalk will seperate also

I had one of my mini colonies of lords spout out a bunch of babies like yours (6/7+ large polyps with over 6 babies). I was very surprised as well. My lord frags generally only put out one baby at at time, but the frags are usually just two polyps. I do have one two polyp frag put out 3 babies at once.
