Who said closed loops were a good idea?

It's so clean looking!

Closed loops sound like a great idea (ive never had one). BUT, you missed a golden opportunity to mount those pumps to the underside of that cabinet and reduce your elbows, pipe runs and clutter majorly.

I thought about it. But for maintenance reasons, I went this route. The L2s have plenty of power. They were my basement return pumps from my last tank and they provided plenty of flow.

Very nice.
I like doing blue pvc. I've done a couple plumbing jobs on friends tanks using colored piping.
I wish I would used it on mine, but at the time ordering and shipping would have delayed everything about 2 weeks.

Yes! I needed to plan a bit ahead. I actually ran out of 1”. Painted a piece of white. The Krylon is almost an exact match! I will be going with a red theme at the sump end in my basement.

Nice... but where is the sump? 🙃
Darn it! Knew I forgot something! Ha! Sump is in basement. A lot of the plumbing seen includes 3 drains and a return going to basement. Now I need to complete the lower half!
