Crazyju's Nuvo 40....I think

Received the diffuser for the 2nd light and installed it along with the rail mounts for the 2 lights. Much neater install and the light looks so much better diffused. Also received a flipper standard. Opened it up started cleaning, was working well until i noticed it leaving marks on the outside of the glass. The felt on the outside was coming loose. I love getting a brand new defective item.

Added a new acan......

Cleaned up and got water in my frag/ quaratine tank that I built over 10 years ago. It still holds water. Placed the icecap 1k in it and hung a xr-15. The tank is 24"x24"x12 and has an overflow hooked directly to house drain.

I'm really digging the aquascape and bare-bottom look on this build! Love the pic with the snail at the very top of the rock work. He's king of the mountain! Haha!

Thanks! Havent updated in a while. I have been slowly adding corals to the tank and it is starting to fill out some. This was my first bare bottom tank, and I will never have sand again. It is so much easier to keep everything clean. I have yet to have any algae and still have not seen the ugly phase. I have added a few more acans, some zoes, candy cane and Just yesterday 9 hammers, frogspawn and torches. Only fish is purple firefish. Still doing large weekly waterchanges, and pulling out chaeto as my only filtration.

Nice corals! What kind of zoas are those? I'm looking to expand my zoa garden as they seem to be doing really well in my tank lately. I really want to pick up another frogspawn too, but I've had terrible luck with euphyllia in my tank. I lost my first hammer and frogspawn to rogue peppermint shrimp and I'm close to losing my torch. I do have a new hammer that's doing pretty well, but that's 1 for 4...not a good batting average so far. Haha!

The first ones are purple people eaters, the second one the store said they were red galaxies? but I am not sure of their real name.

Received an upgrade in the mail yesterday. An apex with a trident and dos. Spent most of the day yesterday setting it up. The online directions were great and everything seems to be working. ALK- 7.72 Calcium- 485 and mg-1470. First testing for these and kinda of surprised the ALK was that low. The salt mixes right at 11 and I am doing at least 50% water changes weekly.

Running a nuvo 40 as well. Debating adding another mp10. Have 2 primes on mine. Also not running a skimmer

I would recommend a second one, It really helps with getting flow everywhere. Are you running any chaeto?

No sir. No skimmer either. Debating getting one tho. Dont have a heavy bioload tho. 3 cardinals and a diamond goby

Hey @Crazyju - how do you have your pumps positioned? I also have a NUVO 40 with 2 MP10's and similar scape. Should I place them both on one side? Offsetting on opposing sides? Would love to hear your thoughts.

I have one on each side facing each other low in the tank. Keeps the debris pushed up.
