Citric acid is, yes. You should be using food grade since the equipment is going back in the tank after rinsing.

Wow, that Milliard Citric acid is significantly cheaper than BRS on Amazon. They have a 5lb for $27. Good lookin out.

Edit - don't do math early in the morning. It's roughly equivalent.
