I have a crocea clam that I am wanting to know more about. I see others that have this blotchy pattern that is different colors. Does this come with age or certain lighting or anything else? Or does it just differ from clam to clam?

Here is a picture of it about 7 months ago.

For some reason, some clams tend to shift the colors around a little bit when brought into our systems. This is more prevalent in Crocea's than others.

Your crocea looks very nice and healthy! This blotchy pattern looks perfectly normal and the color has deepend nicely.
