Would a cuban hogfish be safe with large 6 inch conches? Show sized fish must be 8 inches atm I read they eat snails so I'm not sure if fighting conches would be safe. Beautiful fish its 189 bucks at my LFS.

My hogfish went after all my inverts. The large sanils were fine, so I would assume the conch would be fine. But kiss the rest of it goodbye

I use to sell these at my store and shelled fish are part of their diet. It will likely eat it

I’ve almost always have had a Cuban hog in my tanks. Never had a conch!
I see large ones online for about $100 direct from Fla.

I guess its worth the risk be a shame to lose the conches but they are stunning. That was my first time seeing one and I couldn't believe the colours! Is a 150 gal 6 foot tank big enough for it when its full grown? I have constant access to fresh shellfish so it would be easy to feed from the sounds of it.

Couldn't help it lol
