I've decided to do the full reef care program on this tank. It's probably overkill, but I wanted to learn this system.
So on top of the RCP I dose MB7 daily, have daily auto-water change (total of 10% each week), CHEMipure elite, marinepure block and filter floss.
Hopefully this works!
I thing I might make a mini protein skimmer with an air stone and glass tube, but I probably won't need it.

So I'm tying up some loose ends on this desktop build. I wasn't sure how I wanted to cover the rear compartment. I thought about acrylic but decided to try a piece of wood. I like it but don't love it. I can't decide what to change about it. This is just made out of some pine scraps I had and some Thompson waterseal.
I'll eventually drill some holes in it for mangroves.
I'm thinking a nice piece of dark walnut will look better.
Thoughts?

Eventually the light will be mounted under a shelf and the current bent ruler will be removed. Also the tank will be on a desk and the cabinet underneath.
