CUC QT

So- I’ll be doing a 76 day QT on my CUC, since I’m paranoid about getting nasties in my pristine DT.

Going to order an undersized package from Reefcleaners, including hermits and have a few 10 gallon tanks and heaters etc I can use (these were for TTM before I was convinced to go a different direction).

Question- does a CUC QT need ammonia monitoring/ cycled HOB/air stones?

I don’t have any HOBs for my 10Gs but can put an order in if I need to.

Feeding: flake/pellet/ algae wafers/mysis. Sound good?

Definitely need to watch ammonia, I believe it is just as bad to inverts as it is to fish.

If you put them in ten gallons, a one gallon water change every other day should be okay as long as your feeding them just what they need.

Keep in mind hermits get super cannibalistic when they're underfed and will go after snails as well.

I just found 2 biowheels on amazon for $20, so one each for 2 x 10 gallons. Going to separate the crabs and snails in QT.
