I'm having a hard time sourcing a variety of clean up crew members for my tank. I had planned on getting most of my stock from 1 store, but when I was there last they had quite a few fish looking poorly (Popeye, gasping, laying in the bottom of the tank) in various tanks. I read that inverts can act as fomites but you can mitigate that risk by letting them sit in a bucket of clean salt water for a few hours before adding them to the tank. Is this a good idea or should I just get what I can from better sources and hopefully they'll get more variety later in the year?
