Hello everyone, I wanted to ask about how many "workers" should my hypothetical 50 gallon mixed reef have. I was planning to "hire":
8-10 elegansis hermit crabs
5 scarlet hermit crabs
10 nassarius snails
3 turbo snails
1 cleaner shrimp (I know that they aren't part of CUC for real, but still they help to keep the tank clean and fish happy ;) )
1 blue tuxedo urchin
1 emerald mithrax crab
Should I buy more or less any of the species? If there were zoas and a BTA in the tank, is the emerald crab too risky? It's not emergency, I'd start the tank in july, but I want to get prepared in terms of knowledge. My bedroom, in which the tank will stand, is kinda bright, so I expect algae issiues. There are going to be pods in the tank. Any help appreciated!

It’s probably ok. Some will die but that’s how it goes. Once your tank is a few months old you can assess if you need more or less.
