Wondering what you folks would suggest for a 14g Biocube's CUC. There are so many different types of snails to choose from. I'm a bit lost.

Right now I'm thinking 3 hermit crabs and then about 12 snails total, 3 or 4 of a couple different kinds. Does that sound about right?

I would add 3-4 snails to start, thats it. Look for nassarius, astrea, cerith and trochus.

I second this suggestion. I have a 29 biocube and most of the up keep for the glass is going to fall on your shoulders so focus on snails that spend a majority of their time on rocks/sand.

Which of the species (nassarius, astrea, cerith, trochus) would be best for a barebottom tank?

Nassarius need sand, astreas fall and can't get up and cerith like sand to hide in durring the day. I think Trochus may be it. JMO I love my ceriths but they do burrow.
