Currently have dry rock in bins with RODI water just circulating. Planning on taking it out this week and using the mortar to get the scape together then give another two week soak. After that I plan on soaking in heated saltwater until we finish the upstairs to do lists...ya lists.. I want the rock to be cycled and ready. Should I use normal quick cycle (turbo start, biospira) or is there a better way? Obviously ghost feeding we be a thing, does it benefit to introduce pods? I don’t plan on using water from the bins so is it a waste?

what our some thoughts or better ways to do this?

I prefer to get some ammonium chloride and a bottle of bacteria. It is handy to do this before it gets into the tank so you can have everything ready to go much faster

If the rock is not new and has been used, then I would skip ammonium chloride and/or ghost feeding and just dose the bacteria (cycling bacteria and maybe a scavenging bacteria)
