im looking to make my own custom frag discs. Is there a specific type of clay or material I should look out for that is reef safe, leaching etc.

I think some people use epoxy to make their own. Just basic reef safe epoxies should work.

The pros make their’s out of ceramic, and then fire it. No pH issues then.
I’m big on DIY, having made all my own tanks and equipment (except for my bow front), but I won’t bother making frag plugs.

At $0.12 each, it’s not worth my time.
