So I'm torn if I want to go with acrylic again or glass.. I am definitely against tanks with no support like you see with the black rimmed tanks.

But anyone have a favorite site/vendor?

Looking for probably a size like 8ft x 24" x 12"

I'll be following this as well as I'm interested also. I've always wanted a custom long-shallow.

I love acrylic tanks, especially for large tanks. I have a custom 315 (84x36x24). Acrylic is stronger, weights less, better clarity and maintains temperature better. BUT with that said if you are going acrylics I would go bare bottom. One small grain of sand in a magnetic cleaner and it's a nice scratch on the inside that will drive you nuts.

Overall I'm still liking my recent acrylic more than the previous glass tanks. I would really love to have a tank that runs along a long wall, but definitely am tired of getting my entire arm wet lol...

Lol I had a 220 that was 30 deep, could reach the bottom real good so that's why I decided to get the custom tank that 24 deep

I'm surprised, I would have thought there would be more die-hard fans of certain vendors.. :)
