I posted this already on Gen Reef Disc, but I thought I might get some more insight here:
I have to cut a good chunk off of my BGM, and wasn't sure what was the safest and most effective way. The colony sits on the bottom and I want to cut along the "paint can spill" line that is pouring onto the bare bottom. Any suggestions other than a clean razor blade, or is that the way to go?

are you able to get it out of the tank ???? or is it stuck to the bottom glass ??? if you can get it out i would use a dremel with a diamond blade or my personal favorite a wet bandsaw...

Yeah, I like those options too, but it is attached in a couple spots, top and bottom.

then just take a clean sharp razor blade and slide it under the chalice and take it right of the glass....it wont hurt it at all...then you can take it out and cut it all you want

DO YOU THINK TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS ARE MORE HELPFUL OR HURTFUL TO REEFING?
