CUV-172 UV sterilizer

Just wondering if anyone using one of these on reef tank? The instructions say flow rate max of 1600gph but guessing would need less for reef tank?

Don't personally have experience with this but from the multiple topics on UV's the longer the exposure to the light the better so I would think low flow would be the best. Just my $.02 Hope this helps.
