Hey so I’ve had my tank running for about a year now . I’ve had a darker purple on my rock for about 4 months and this whole Time I thought it was coralline algae but when I was showing my tank to a friend he said it was cyano, Google and YouTube shows cyano different as it cant be taken off wit a a power head , it comes of if I scratch it HARD with my nail , was going to add chemi clean but idk what it is , should I be worried ? All my coral are still fine or is it something else

A blast of water from a turkey baster, syringe, or powerhead would blow cyano off the rock. If you need to scrape it for it to come off, it's more than likely red coralline.

It doesn't seem to be red turf algae either because it isn't fuzzy/hairy.

Google "red coralline algae" and take a look at the images. They look just like yours.

Yeah I thought it was that but people had me second guessing, cause I have coarline around the rocks and just some dark spots thought it was weird
So ima just leave it alone as long as my coral are doing good
