Cyano loves low flow area's, increase the flow if you think you have low flow.

If you use hang on filter, they do not really export nutrients or dissolved organics, so water changes are the only method of removing nutrients and organics, I would increase the frequency and amount of water changes until your tank gets back into balance. Water change every 2 weeks is the bare minimum, but when your tank has a problem you should do more.

Chemiclean works very well, so if you tried it twice and cyano came back both times, then the conditions in your tank are very favourable for cyano growth, need to correct that.

I only have little cyano left like 95% of them is already gone. I nead to buy another power head it might be the detritus that is stock from my rocks. My flow is very poor my power head is cheap from amazon

In my experience, since I’m in Korea, when I used MarineCost’s Cyanofighter the cyano was gone within a week. Honestly, I hesitated to post this because I didn’t want it to sound like an ad, but I noticed there seems to be a lot of concern about it, so I thought I’d share.

I've been battling cyanobacteria in my tank for almost a month now, and I already tried using chemiclean, double dosed it and doing blackout method but after all of that the I can still see a little sign of cyano in my tank. . What else cwn you advice so I can totally remove it in my tank?

thank you for all of your advices guys I added another powerhead now I have two and my tank is getting better now and I just removed the remaining cyano in my tank now my sand bed is white as snow.

thank you, but I tried this method and it didn't work so I jusr used chemiclean and I have good results in it. I still do coral snow once a week

I battled green Cyano for a month or so. It never got out of hand but it was persistent.
Here is what I did:

1. Raised my nitrates from 3-15 ppm. My phosphates were on the high side around .2-.25 but it is a 9 gallon aquarium. I am trying to lower my phosphates with GFO in a minimax reactor.

2. Vacuumed out all the Cyano and dosed 15 ml of Cyo-control by Tropic-Marin Monday through Friday. This is product is probiotics. I tried to remove as little water as I could to prevent lowering nitrates.

3. I am running a fleece roller mat so it does a good job removing any dew floating Cyano after cleaning.

I have been Cyano clear now for the past 2 weeks. My root cause was an immature tank. (6 months old) and a nutrient imbalance. The Cyo-control just aggravated the Cyano enough by providing some competition. The final straw was balancing out my nutrients. Once I get my phosphates down, I will begin lowering my nitrates to the 5-10 ppm range

how old is the tank? if it's been set up this year, this is normal. add more cuc. don't use chemiclean.
