So, don't know whats going on.
Been cycling for several weeks. Things were going along perfectly.
Ammonia spiked and was dropping, got to 0 when I tested this morning, nitrites spiked and then also were dropping. Had nitrates up to 40. I just tested.
Nitrites are down to 0-.25
0 nitrates none. Had nitrates yesterday
Now Im showing ammonia .50
after showing none this morning.
I didnt add any ammonia and am fishless cycling. No water changes.
Why did nitrates drop and ammonia go up?

What test kits are you using?
How are you doing your fishless cycle? Bottle bac? Ghost feeding?
FYI, if you have nitrites, you will show nitrates as well.
