Hello, I’m wanting to add some more rock to my 125 gal reef tank. I’m just curious about one thing the rock came out of my old tank, I did a bleach wash then Rodi and de chlorinator soak and let it air dry for around 1 month. It still has some green on the rock and it’s super hard to scrub off, will this cause an algae bloom? I plan on cycling it before putting into my DT. Thanks in advance

When you cycle the rock again test the container water for phosphates a few days after you add the rock to the container.

I think the pre cycle outside of your tank will work perfect. I always have done that and I have never had to deal with weird issues in the beginning stages of a tank just an accelerated cycle from my POV.
