This past Friday at 4:30 pm I did my first chemiclean treatment on my 65g mixed reef. I followed the instructions and removed all carbon , turned off UV , adjusted skimmer to wide open and just let it drain back into sump whilst treating. Last night at 6 pm I shutdown all my pumps did a water change installed fresh carbon and turned my UV back on. I left the skimmer in wide open and continue to drain in sump. This morning the skimmer is still over reacting just as much as it did when I first put the chemiclean in. Am I expecting to much to soon? Is this normal? How long should it take fir skimmer to go back to previous level? Do I just need to wait longer ? Or should I try something else. Thanks.
