Just got my first Cypahstrea frag in.. I am really liking the color/look of this coral and would like to get some more. I want to first learn a bit more about this coral, growth, propagation etc. I noticed that it has encrusted the entire plug, and is starting to encrust onto my frag rack, after only 2 weeks of having it in my tank. How do these grow? It looks like they will encrust the plug/rack without forming a skelaton..the polyps are not as bright on the plug. If this coral encrusts onto a rock/plug, can I just cut the plug/rock and attach it to a new plug?

these grow very fast under good conditions and there are many different types. they generally encrust although there are some that will branch
