Can we sheet rock already?
Remember to buy the green sheets, joint tape and float.

Looking good!
I wish I had a garage. My wife won't let me convert the spare bedroom into a fish room.

Did you get your sump setup from Jeff yet? Which one did you get?
I'm waiting on mine. He is building it now and shipping it next week.

Ah yes, i see you right under me. :D
Lifereef Build Schedule

He was working on my refugium today and starting the berlin sump tomorrow.
All custom sized stuff.
Here's a little tip on the CaRx. Skip the coarse arm media he sends and get yourself some Two Little Fishies Reborn.
Will save you a ton of headaches. And Co2.

How do you like the skimmer? That's the one I have coming.
Is the calcium reactor easy to dial in? This will be my first one, I used 2part on my last tank.
The skimmer is great. You can see my thoughts and others here...

I had a ton of problems getting the CaRx dialed in until I got the Reborn media and the Aquarium Plants Carbon Doser.
Since then it's fine.

That's the regulator correct? I have read a bunch of threads on ca RX and the one from Aquarium Plants seems to be the best and easiest to dial in. I was hoping the one that came with Jeff's was OK. Guess I should just start off with the one from AP.

Yes, if you have the extra cash and think you might get it eventually, just get it now. It works really well.

Im in the middle of dialing in my LifeReef reactor, what were the headaches with the Arm Coarse media??
I couldn't get the stuff to dissolve and was going through tons of co2. I was ready to get a different reactor.
Was a night and day diff between the two medias.

Thanks for the heads up on the reborn media. Was the regulator called Carbondoser II ? I would rather get it now and save the time messing around.

Carbondoser is awesome, I have the next step up and that is a digital one.
Same concept only thing different is it has a screen and you can see the bubble count through out the day and reset it.
I have it running on my GEO 618 with a 20lb co2 bottle.
According my calculation's with the rate it's going now my bottle will last 5+ years, the 8.8lb reborn and 1lb magnesium should last me a few years too and that depends all how fast my SPS are growing.

Progress Report!

Framing is done and the HVAC ducts are in.
One 4-way vent and one return.

Electrical should get done this week.
Putting two 4" cans in the ceiling with LED bulbs (the only part of my build using LED :D ) on either side of the vent.

Then insulation, and hoping to get sheetrock at least started this weekend.

Wow it's really coming to fruition nicely! How long do you think electrical will take?

Thanks. :)
One or two nights this week.
Most of that area already has power. I'm just adding two more double outlets, the two lights and the light switch.
