Tank is a month old this week! :)

Finally got the correct light over the tank.
Ends up it was the Ushio bulb that was bad, not the ballast. Figures.
Ordered a 20k Ushio knock-off from amazon this weekend for like $15 and that's what I'm using now. Along with the two blue reefbrite strips.

Also got some other new toys hooked up.
BRS Dosers for alk and calc and an In-Tank media tray to replace one of the IM socks.

Forgot to say i'm still working on the light hanging setup. That's kinda temporary. Need to put up slightly longer brackets to get the light more centered over the tank. ;)

planning on same build but went with the aquamaxx hob skimmer and nanobox light , also decided to try ecobak ez for middle chambers of the upgraded media baskets instead of 2 chemi blues . hoping for decent results with that or will get a tumblr reactor for reg ecobak plus .. looks good though

Only thing I don't like about the IM baskets is the filter floss gets clogged quickly causing the middle chamber to lose water...no matter what ATO you have it will constantly be changing the salinity, I ended up not using the floss and have only been using chemipure blue in the bottom 2 chambers

I would have to change the filter floss twice a day to avoid this and that is unacceptable in my opinion...I had a biocube and used filter floss without this problem so not sure why it is getting clogged/changing the water level drastically

design flaw perhaps?? I did not get this same reaction with the socks but they are a PITA as well

No problems so far with this media basket. I only have one right now. Filter sock still on the other side.
